Peanut Oil
A clear oil pressed from peanuts. It is used for salads and because it has a high Smoke Point, it is ideal for frying. Peanut oil contains 48% monounsaturated fats (monounsaturated fat is the 'good' fat which can help lower blood cholesterol levels) and 33% polyunsaturated fats.
Another important factor which should be considered is the fact that Peanut oil does not breakdown into trans-fatty acids at high heat level as compared to other oils, and is therefore an added benefit when cooking with peanut oil.
